“Soirée”
At the end of each term have an informal “Soirée” for friendly eavesdroppers. We perform the orchestral music that we have worked on during the term, plus solos and chamber music by current members of the orchestra and often also by ex-members or friends.
Nerves are normal! If you can’t imagine yourself ever wanting to perform to an audience, this is a low-key way to dip a toe in the water along with others, in front of a small and very supportive audience, mostly of family and friends. Performing even quite informally is different from rehearsing and needs practicing for players to feel comfortable with it.

For many years now a group of players, current and past members of Da Capo, have performed at a local supermarket in December playing seasonal music in support of a charity.
