Orchestra Open Day
Saturday 6th September 2025
9:30am for a 10am start to 4pm.
We’re looking forward to welcoming all string, woodwind and brass instruments for a great day of music-making and cake-eating under the baton of our new Da Capo conductor Christopher Cherng.
The programme includes a wide variety of music, including 3 Gloucester Ayres, Pirates of the Caribbean, Selections from Les Miserables and Excepts from Pictures at an Exhibition. The music will be 5 part Flex-band music.
Da Capo is a Community Orchestra and welcomes players of all standards although to get the best from the day players should be Grade 3 (or the equivalent) and above. It will also be a great opportunity to dust off your 2nd instrument and play some ensemble music. If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further.
A booking form (editable word and pdf) is given below. Please return the form either by post or email. A fee of £20 per person will apply, payable at time of booking.
